Planning an event is complicated, stressful and difficult work. From determining the entertainment that will take place to choosing any meals to be served to marketing the event appropriately, there are many factors that go into putting together a spectacular event. But even the smallest hitch can weigh on the evening, causing guests to recall what went poorly instead of what went well. Constantly innovating and improving an event means going back to the drawing board and searching for new ways to enhance the experience for attendees and freshen up the functionality of it. An easy way to streamline an event and improve attendee experience is to consider implementing RFID scanners in a multitude of ways throughout an event. These scanners can improve many aspects of an event, from moving check-in lines faster to improving the functionality within the event.

1. Security

RFID scanners offer the fastest and most secure way of getting guests into the venue. Whether you’re planning a sporting event, concert, company outing, festival or conference, RFID scanners can take care of many of your security needs. These scanners can help eliminate successful counterfeit tickets. With any popular event, there is the potential for people to either use or sell counterfeit tickets. With RFID implementation, wristbands are much harder to counterfeit and can be registered directly to the person intended to wear it. Because each RFID wristband includes a unique microchip programmed directly for one person, they’re almost impossible to fully duplicate, and the unique registration helps ensure that any lost or stolen wristbands can be returned to its proper owner. This will also help with any seating or capacity issues that may arise from event goers gaining entrance illegally.

2. Moving the Line

Another advantage of using RFID scanners comes down to the amount of time attendees spend in the line. Guests who are forced to wait for extensive amounts of time will become impatient and dissatisfied. Getting the attendees into the event quickly and efficiently greatly helps improve their experience and their overall view of the event’s success. Some RFID scanners can actually scan 120 scans per minute, drastically increasing the speed of a line. Additionally, it can help your event maximize profit. The longer guests spend inside your event, the more purchases they are likely to make. These scanners, when coupled with RFID chips, can read information more quickly than typical barcode scanners, keeping attendees rolling in the door and minimizing the poor impact that long lines can have.

3. Streamlined Experiences

The benefits of using RFID scanners do not stop once your attendees have entered the event. By wearing the small chip typically stored in a plastic wristband, you can even store ticketed patrons credit card info. Akin to mobile payment options such as Apple Pay or digital wallets, this information can be stored exclusively in the RFID chip for only the duration of the event. This is a useful tool for battling lines long past the front doors. Keeping lines low at the bar, concession stands, or merchandise booths can keep attendees flowing during an event, which helps it to feel less crowded and prevent dissatisfaction. It also can eliminate the need to use ATM machines for cash withdraws, decreasing the opportunity for lost cash, stolen PINs, or even damaged machines. With the implementation of RFID, staff are able to scan the guests’ wristband to complete purchases, which can improve profits from sales while decreasing the length of wait times, enhancing the ease of your event.

RFID scanners can come in many different sizes and are built to handle all sizes of crowds under many different circumstances. Charging the scanners is also very simple, and some models can be used for long periods of time with no charging required. Additionally, the size and heft of these scanners are made with the staff in mind; though they can process a heavy workload, they are lightweight and compact. With all the benefits of incorporating RFID scanners, you can greatly improve the overall experience of your event for both attendees and staff. With lines being cut and security improved, your fans will have a more enjoyable time while the ease of use these scanners provide will lighten the staff’s workload, allowing them to perform their task more effectively. So, if you are looking for a great way to improve the overall experience of your next event, you should certainly give RFID scanners a chance.
